Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.
LOB Specific Summary:
Software Engineer II role requires an experienced software developer who is looking forward to working with XVA Counterparty Portfolio Management Technology group. The EST (enterprise stress test) technology team in CPM group requires senior developer to work closely with various business and technology partners within Bank such as Global Market risk, Quants, Trading Front Desk, and Middle Office, QZ core, IMM and Capstone team to ensure the successful implementation of application solution in AGILE environment.
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
- Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
- Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
- Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- The role responsibilities include design, development, testing, deployment, and post production support tasks including answering user questions, debugging issues.
- Will develop applications using Python/Java/C++, Oracle, and SQL/PL SQL.
- Research and analyze and enhance data processing functions, methods and procedures.
- Ensure data is consistent and can be cleanly reported from
- Help shape Strategic goals for our systems and then deliver toward those goals
- Bring the team along with you by sharing experiences while fostering talent in others and giving /seeking advice.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in highly analytical skills, expertise in AGILE methodology, and implementing data quality and application testing standards and production release management.
- Ability to quickly to adopt expertise in finance or market risk or other subject matters which is needed for the robust and stable software solutions
- Prior working experience in full project life cycle with strong idea of challenges, scalability, enhancement, issues and remediation strategy at each stage.
- Strong team member by working along with large team also and ready to share experience and learn from others in order to support, build and grow with the team
- Ability to see a project through from inception to completion, over multiple years and challenges
- Desire to solve complex problems without being told to do so. Exceptional knowledge of computer science/engineering.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior knowledge of finance world, market risk technology, IMM modeling, and Monte-Carlo simulation methodology.
- Derivatives market knowledge is preferred.
