Job Description

The Gastrointestinal Oncology Service in Division of Solid Tumor Oncology the Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time early career investigator in Gastroesophageal Cancer Translational Research. This physician-scientist, appointed as Debbie’s Dream Foundation Gastric Cancer Investigator, would focus exclusively on patient care, research, and education for esophageal and gastric cancers. This faculty would have one year of protected research time focused on biomarker development, laboratory, and translational research in gastroesophageal cancer with Dr. Yelena Janjigian's, Chief of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Service, mentorship to advance translational studies in gastroesophageal cancer.

Requirements Include:

  • MD and/or PhD in relevant field (e.g., oncology, translational medicine, molecular biology)
  • Strong passion for translational research and advancing cancer therapeutics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Location: New York, New York

 

Salary Range: $70,000-$110,000
