Job Description

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Heme Malignancy Team in Westchester NY. In this role, you will deliver the highest quality of comprehensive care to patients with a heme malignancy diagnosis. In addition, you will perform bone marrow aspirations and biopsies, lumbar punctures, ommaya reservoir taps and administration of intrathecal chemotherapy. We are looking for an APP to work in the outpatient regional care network setting with our exceptional team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

 Hours: Four 10 hour shifts/week (8:00a-6:00p)

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

You Will:
• Manage your clinic independently, while also coordinating and collaborating with various physicians to coordinate care
• Provide comprehensive care to the outpatient hematologic malignancy patients
• Meet the medical needs of patients
• Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
 
Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:
• Graduate from an accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification
• Active NJ license or be qualified for state licensure, NYS qualified
• A minimum of 1 year of outpatient or inpatient Malignant Hematology experience is required
• Experience with bone marrow biopsy, lumbar punctures, and ommaya is helpful

 
Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are:
• Current New Jersey State (NJS) RN and NP licenses/registrations, eligible for NY State
• Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
• Related National NP certification
• A minimum of 1 year of outpatient or inpatient Malignant Hematology experience is required
• Experience with bone marrow biopsy, lumbar punctures, and ommaya is helpful

Pay Range $144,000-182,000K
