About the Team:

Medidata is seeking a Client Executive to support our relationships with Academic Research Organizations across the United States. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Public Sector, you will manage relationships for current customers and developing relationships with new prospective Academic Research Organizations. The primary objective of this role is to inspire academic research organizations to use Medidata software and services on their clinical trials, in their laboratories and across their scientific initiatives. Your performance will be measured by retiring a software and services quota on a 6-month basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage current accounts through routine governance meetings, monitoring consumption, understanding upcoming client initiatives, uncovering unmet needs, and expanding the audience within each account
  • Prospect into accounts that are not working with Medidata
  • Engage and influence C-level decision makers
  • Develop and deliver presentations
  • Work in a team environment as every deal will require close collaboration with extended teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Salesforce
  • 25% travel expected

Qualifications:

Your Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years working in SaaS sales
  • 2+ years in life sciences vertical (clinical trials experience)
  • Graduate degree in psychology, business, or life sciences

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $96,750 to $129,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
