The Team

The EMEA Logistics team manages all Warehousing & Logistical supply chain operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems and ensuring compliance with both Local and Internal regulations. This is a dynamic and fast-moving team, responsible for facilitating the end to end supply of goods & services that allows us to service all our customers, both internal & external, for the EMEA region.

The Opportunity

The Logistics team is seeking a highly analytical Ecommerce Logistics Analyst to support the Logistics team in their E-commerce operations across the EMEA region, based in Amstelveen with a hybrid work model. The role will cover end to end supply chain and logistical solutions from the point an order is placed by a customer on the web shop to delivery to the end customer. The person should be highly organised and with a fine attention to detail and enjoy running logistics and fine tuning an already functioning system. You must be able to deal with time sensitive situations in a calm manner, you will be capable of gathering and processing complex data from a wide variety of sources, mainly in Microsoft Excel. You know what best practice looks like in distribution and logistics. You take a leading role in driving change and driving business improvements. Importantly, you also build strong relationships, working well with suppliers and internal teams alike.

Job Description

What Your Impact Will Be

 

  • Assist in managing and coordinating the day to day operational activities for warehouse in conjunction with 3PL provider
  • Working with customer service team on any operational issues affecting customers.
  • Execute the replenishment process between Mattel DC’s and STACI locations
  • Identify and implement improvements on the replenishment process, reporting and analysis
  • Monitoring 3PL and carrier performance
  • Timely solve any process delays with the 3PL
  • Assist with budget preparations and administration and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Carry out daily operational reporting and measuring performance vs forecast and established SLAs.
  • Stock management: Carry out daily analysis and correct snapshot reports on stock discrepancies.
  • Stock issues: Ensuring our 3PL is aware of any recalls/ stock write off instructions and that all internal processes for dealing with the issues are followed, including ensuring stock is removed from availability to promise to customers.
  • Reporting of throughput volumes, productivities, and Inventory balances of the EMEA e-commerce operations in Daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s.
  • Providing expert data analysis based on a combination of proven mathematical models, industry knowledge and business experience.
  • Identifying areas of improvement to drive efficiency, cost savings and an improved customer experience.
  • Generating replenishment stock requests from Mattel DCs and monitoring progress, delivery on time, receipting, accuracy and damages.
  • Assist in the day-to-day planning, forecasting and operational requirements with our 3PL logistical partners
  • Monitoring stock requirements and flagging non-moving and overstocked products and managing them to bring them into line with sales forecasts.
  • Carry out spot checks on inbound and outbound shipments in the warehouse where needed
  • Carrying out monthly performance reviews with our 3PL partners where you will provide analysis on reported claims with service providers and allocate responsibilities between warehousing and transport providers, and draft action plans for resolution.
  • Working with the digital and marketing team to help execute initiatives and projects.
  • Working with our 3PL logistics partners and suppliers on the technical specifications and usage of packaging and packaging materials.
  • Helping to ensure that all our solutions including packaging and processes are compatible with all current and upcoming legal requirements.
  • Discover new trends and innovations in the fields of warehousing and logistics
  • Facilitate delivery of any supplies (Packaging) and equipment that may be required for Special & Rework operations ahead of required lead time

 

 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience working in an e-commerce Logistics role working with 3PL providers.  Experience of working in a head office Logistics role is preferred.
  • Experience of monitoring KPIs and taking action to remedy any concerns with performance.
  • Experience of, and a commitment to Continuous Improvent Process.
  • Experience of demand planning and forecasting stock, inbound and outbound volumes.
  • Must be an experienced Excel user at advanced level, with experience of analysing large data sets and be able to present results clearly and be able to give recommendations on the back of the analysis.
  • You must be comfortable in a warehouse/Fulfilment Centre environment, and have experience of working with operations teams on Continuous Improvements.
  • An understanding of warehouse management systems.
  • Be comfortable travelling to warehouses/fulfilment centres, both in the UK and across the EMEA region
  • Knowledge of working with parcel carrier companies to monitor and improve performance.
  • Be confident using Microsoft Office.
