Overview

Title: Senior Specialist, Product Management - Commercial Solutions: Transaction Management and Controls

This position is with the Mastercard Commercial Solutions department. The mission of Mastercard Commercial Solutions is to power business and trade for organizations everywhere. The Commercial Card Solutions: Transaction Management and Controls team is looking for a Senior Product Management Specialist to drive our platform modernization initiatives; focusing on overseeing the end-to-end process of migrating customers, partners, and data across our software platform, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about ensuring customer satisfaction, highly motivated, analytical, intellectually curious, possesses strong technical acumen, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Role

• Assist in developing and executing strategic plans for data migration projects, aligning with business objectives and timelines
• Define business and technical requirements while managing relationships with technical resources
• Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the modernization initiative, ensuring best practices and addressing any technical challenges that arise
• Collaborate closely with engineer teams, architects, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties to ensure alignment and successful execution of modernization projects
• Track and report on the status of project plans
• Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies associated with the project, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on quality and project timelines.
• Implement rigorous quality assurance measures to validate data integrity and ensure that there is no impact to customer functionality
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of initiative implementation, and generate content to communicate updates relevant to both internal stakeholders and external customers
• Acts as a business owner and lead the product management cycle, managing long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for a commercialized product
• Roles in this family also include overseeing product evolution, enhancement deployment, establish go-to-market strategy, optimize products and resources, implement incremental improvements within the product's life cycle, conduct ongoing care and maintenance, and manage OKRs, KPIs, P&L
• Support the analysis and delivery of internal and external stakeholder needs and issues
• Conduct market research to inform profitability targets for our products
• Provide insights that may influence the sales strategy, and contributes to the development of materials for training and RFPs

All About You

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields preferred
• Intermediate experience in technical product management, product management, project management, or software development
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within specified timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and proficiency in Oracle Golden Gate technology
• Experience working in agile environments is a plus.
• This position may require flexibility in working hours, as our engineering partners are internationally located. The successful candidate should be open to scheduled adjustments to accommodate collaboration with team members in different time zones. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
