Overview:
The Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (C&I) team is responsible for product management and innovative product development of products and services to address the evolving risk & cybersecurity needs of all of MasterCard's various customer segments. The C&I team was established with the responsibility to safeguard all aspects of safety and security in payments and has made great strides with new products, services and standards, positively impacting all aspects of our current and future payment eco-system.
The Customer Platform Experience team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
Role
• Advanced Java development skills
• Advanced skills and knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate
• Experience in building Restful services and clients using Spring framework
• Experience with building scalable Restful services for complex secure web applications
• Experience working with Junit/Mockito/Spring Test
• Experience with JBehave / Cucumber BDD testing/ Spock
• Self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction
• Deploy and operate apps in the cloud (Amazon, Rackspace, Heroku, etc.)
• Ensure code follows the design and insist on the highest coding standards
• Maintain a sufficiently generic yet simple and economical solution
• Accountable for full systems development life cycle, including creating high-quality requirements documents, use-cases, design and other technical artifacts, including but not limited to detailed test strategy/test design, performance benchmarking, release rollout and deployment plans, contingency/back-out plans, feasibility study, cost and time analysis and detailed estimates.
All About You
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in delivering secure solutions in the Financial Services Sector is preferred.
• Knowledge of REST, GraphQL, SSO, and client/server interaction
• Knowledge of one or more Front End languages and frameworks like ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Deep understanding of internet protocols and standards
• Familiarity with writing and optimizing cross-browser CSS and HTML
• Knowledgeable of scaling techniques (caching, asynchronous/background job queues, etc.).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and browser plugin development
• Aptitude to quickly learn new languages and technologies as necessary
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience building highly scalable and available production web apps, from the glass to the database
• A philosophy of iteration and continuous improvement

Pay Ranges
Vancouver, Canada: $104,000 - $167,000 CAD
