Job Title
Senior Analyst, AI Strategy

Reporting to the Vice President of Analytics and Metrics and working with the Mastercard AI Services team, the AI strategy manager is responsible for driving business impact through analytics and data science, working closely the data scientist, ML engineers, and business functional leaders across Mastercard. This role is responsible for ensuring value creation from data science projects by (a) creating actionable insights from data and models, (b) improving business processes, and (c) project planning and change management.

The Role

1/ Driving action and capturing business value using analytics and data science
• Helping to identify opportunities for impactful analytics within the business
• Extracting strategic and actionable insights from both raw data and ML models to inform business decisions
• Building compelling visualizations and communications to help senior business stakeholders understand the AI Services team's work, including model mechanics, effectiveness, and business impact
• Assisting in analysis and model development with the data science team by bringing business and domain expertise to the AI Services group.

2/ Designing and implementing new analytics-enabled business processes
• Developing detailed understanding of existing practices through process and journey mapping, identifying pain points and improvement opportunities
• Partnering with business and analytics leaders to create wireframes, requirements, and sample outputs to define modeling deliverables
• Assist in estimating the impact of new business processes by analyzing and modeling financial and operational data

3/ Enabling adoption and scale of ML models through change management
• Creating and coordinating project plans to deploy prototype ML models
• Conducting training, collecting user feedback, and iterating with data scientists to on prototype ML
• Creating and coordinating plans to production models to wider adoption, proactively identifying and addressing barriers to scale

All about you

• 3+ years of experience using data to answer complex business questions and develop
practical solutions.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact
• Proven ability to quickly learn new businesses and diagnose their problems
• Familiarity with large data sets, statistical analyses, machine learning models, and data visualization
• Hands-on experience with SQL and business intelligence tools
• Hands-on experience with an analytical scripting language such as Python or R a plus
• Experience leading quantitative problem-solving with business and analytics stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting quantitative analysis to senior business stakeholders
• Understanding of world leading agile and technology business management practices
• Demonstrated ability to balance the delivery of projects against the realities of a budget; and problem solving, project management and creative resourcefulness
• Experience in the payments domain preferred
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or physical sciences, or equivalent work or education-related experience.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
