Lead Full Stack Software Developer - React and Java
Overview
Mastercard Payment Gateway Service (MPGS) is on the lookout for a passionate, experienced, and dynamic Lead Full Stack Software Engineer (Front-End Heavy) to lead the development of user-centric, performant, and scalable applications. This role emphasizes expertise in modern frontend technologies such as React, while maintaining strong backend proficiency with Java/J2EE and Spring.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Front-End Development
Lead the development of dynamic, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces using React.
Ensure front-end applications are optimized for performance, accessibility, and scalability.
Implement reusable components, state management solutions, and design system integrations.
2. Back-End Development
Design and develop backend services using Java/J2EE, Spring, and JPA.
Integrate front-end applications with backend APIs and services.
Manage and optimize interactions with RDBMS.
3. Cloud and Infrastructure
Design and deploy applications on cloud platforms.
Leverage cloud-native tools to enhance system scalability, reliability, and security.
4. Agile Practices
Actively participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups) to ensure timely delivery of features.
Adapt and contribute to iterative delivery cycles to ensure rapid and quality-focused releases.
5. CI/CD and DevOps
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices to improve development efficiency.
6. Team Leadership and Mentorship
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding them in best practices, architectural decisions, and efficient coding techniques.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product, UX, and QA teams, to align technical execution with business goals.
7. UI Performance Optimization (Good to Have)
Conduct performance tuning and UI optimizations to deliver fast-loading and responsive web applications.
Use tools like Lighthouse or Chrome DevTools to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Must-Have Skills:
Frontend Expertise: Proficiency in React, Redux, and TypeScript, with a strong focus on modern front-end best practices.
Backend Technologies: Solid experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, and JPA.
Database Management: Strong knowledge of RDBMS.
Cloud: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
CI/CD: Expertise in tools like Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.
Agile Practices: Deep understanding of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
