Chief of Staff to General Counsel, Regulatory

Overview:
The Regulatory team contributes to the future of Mastercard by enabling growth in products, markets, services and innovations in an increasingly regulated and complex environment, while protecting the brand and business. The Chief of Staff, Regulatory will serve as a key advisor to the General Counsel, Regulatory and will help advance global coordination and strategies across the Regulatory team.

Role:
- This role reports directly to the General Counsel, Regulatory and supports leadership within the Regulatory team. This role is integral to communications from the office of the General Counsel, Regulatory and is a central point of contact to various business units enabling global coordination on regulatory matters, ensuring transparency across the team.
- This role will be responsible for planning and coordinating key meetings, including periodic Regulatory Team meetings and monthly Regulatory Team leadership calls.
- This role supports the Regulatory team budget, including monthly coordination with Law Department finance as well as annual strategic budgeting exercises. This role will also support the development of global regulatory strategies, in coordination with the team.
- This role supports the General Counsel, Regulatory, with the planning and development of internal and external presentations and ensures that the General Counsel is well organized, and the team runs in an effective manner.
- This role will help the Regulatory leadership team be a more agile, connected and efficient organization.

All About You:
- Excellent communication skills, including executive communications, corporate communications and employee communications. Critical thinker with ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling and influential communications.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with a focus on setting priorities, managing processes and delivering results under tight deadlines and with competing priorities
- Exceptional partnership capability; ability to influence others and add value to a vision
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, including an interest in and understanding of corporate SEC filings
- Financial Services Regulatory experience is a plus
- Self-Starter and strategic thinker with strong attention to detail
- Must be advanced with presentation drafting skills, including PowerPoint
- Familiarity with social media (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Flexible and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information and material with appropriate discretion
- Bachelor's degree required

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Washington, District of Columbia: $147,000 - $236,000 USD
