Job Description:

Context and Scope:

  • The Finance ERP Transformation Director is a strategic individual contributor role (to start) based in the Global Segment of Mars Snacking, a division of Mars, Inc. The role provides strategic design, process, control and new digital capability providing thought leadership in partnership with other senior leaders across the segment, global services and corporate to shape the Finance technology landscape for the future. The role Is responsible for:
  • Responsible to ensure ERP transformation (to digital core of SAP S4/Hana supported by leading edge applications) is business-focused (business problem and end-user issue is solved)
  • Manages complex stakeholder management with other senior director peers, Finance Leadership members, general managers and market heads and senior leader from other segments/ divisions
  • Identifies business problem and all business requirements.
  • Creates test community (e.g., super-users)
  • Ensures the central design is implemented horizontally across the process areas (Record2Report, Make2Deliver and Purchase2Pay) as per the business requirements.
  • Support the business area by evidencing a strong understanding of the strategic direction and goals.
  • Manage Specialist Process Area Leads (Record2Report, Make2Deliver and Purchase2Pay) and provide strategic, business process guidance and validation.
  • Partner with change management team to provide business needs in CM planning (has influence over business community)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction through Senior Managers and Managers
  • Manages complex stakeholder management with other senior director peers, Finance leadership members, general managers and market heads and senior leader from other segments/ divisions.
  • Has accountability for the performance and results of a large, strategically important program with global deployment in extra-large, large, medium, and small markets managing different local legal requirements and multi factory complexity.
  • Adapts and executes business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy. Responsible for setting mid- term strategy (1-3 years) for own area of responsibility and leading cross-functional teams to execute the program on time in full.
  • Decisions are guided by functional and operational division/ segment strategies and priorities.
  • Leads the Segment Finance design needs over processes such as Record2Report, Make2Deliver and Purchase2Pay in partnership with cross functional partners, enterprise global services and corporate to support standard process, business needs and competitive advantage, controls and digital transformation. Provides guidance or leadership to other Associates.

Job Specifications / Qualifications

  • College degree, preferable in Finance, Accounting and/or Technology. MBA preferred.
  • +10 years' experience leading cross functional teams, working in a multi-billion dollar business in a complex matrix environment across corporate, segment/division, regions and markets.
  • Has led ERP and digital transformation programs.
  • Has strong cross functional business knowledge and understands business processes, best practice design, Internal controls and emerging digital technologies.
  • Has SAP (preferably S4/Hana) and other application Implementation experience, particularly as it relates to Finance processes and financial considerations of other business processes.

Total rewards at Mars includes base pay, competitive benefits, and annual bonus (if position is eligible). The full-time pay range for this role is:
USD 210,161.00 - USD 315,241.00
