Scope:
The Manager of Maternal & Infant Health reports to the Executive Director of Market Impact. The Manager partners with market staff to translate and share the Mission Impact work in ways that invite donor investment and supporter engagement, leading with mission and empowering local teams to align impact strategies to community needs in the designated area.

*This role is a part-time grant funded position through December 2024. Key responsibilities will include overseeing and managing a new doula expansion grant. The Manager of MIH will ensure that the project is executed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with grant requirements. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project timelines, and reporting on project progress to the funder and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Leadership:
• Embody adaptive leadership and support March of Dimes as a leader in MCH in the community/state.
• Adhere to March of Dimes National strategic plan as well as state level strategic alignment plan.
• Model anti-racist behaviors and practices, center community voice and be a systems thinker.
• Utilize data-based decision making
• Maintain understanding of current implementation challenges and develop solutions to address them.
• Maintain accountability throughout all processes and engagement.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and milestones, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
  • Manage project budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to grant funding guidelines.
  • Communicate regularly with project teams, stakeholders, and funder to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Prepare and submit project progress reports, financial reports, and other documentation as required by funder.
  • Conduct evaluation and assessment of project outcomes, analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, regulations, and reporting deadlines.
  • Coordinate/ Manage external vendors, consultants, and partners as needed for project implementation.
  • Engage in regular communication with Market Leader and National MIH/CI Director

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: maternal/child health program planning and implementation; public health program management; grant management; working with disadvantaged populations
  • Familiarity with doulas
  • Experience in community engagement
  • Familiarity with key institutions and partners in Tennessee and the Memphis area
  • Experience convening partners, and conducting meetings with internal and external partners
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-sectoral teams and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
  • Education: Four-year degree or equivalent experience, working on or currently holding a Master's degree

Additional Information:

  • This role will require occasional travel to Memphis for meetings, conferences, or site visits related to grant-funded activities.
