What Kind of Candidate are we looking for?
Symetri USA is seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Account Executive to join our Infrastructure group. This is not a BDR or SDR role—this is a full-cycle sales position where you will win net new accounts, manage and grow them over a 12-month period, and ultimately transition them to an Account Manager. This role can be seen as a bridge between new business development and account management, offering career growth potential and high visibility across the organization.
This is a strategically important position and ideal for a high-performing salesperson eager to take ownership of greenfield opportunities and competitive take-outs within the Civil Infrastructure market.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify, penetrate, and convert Civil Infrastructure accounts aligned with Symetri’s Infrastructure strategy.
- Own the full sales cycle: from prospecting and qualifying to closing and initial account management.
- Manage and grow new accounts for a set period before handing off to long-term Account Managers.
- Build deep, meaningful relationships with key decision-makers across departments (Design, IT, Operations, Facilities, Sustainability, etc.).
- Clearly communicate Symetri’s consultative value proposition across our portfolio of software, services, and solutions.
- Partner with internal teams—marketing, technical consultants, and customer success—to drive client satisfaction and solution adoption.
- Leverage Salesforce.com for pipeline tracking, activity planning, and business reporting.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase visibility and drive demand.
What You Bring:
- 5–7 years of full-cycle sales experience; civil infrastructure or AEC industry background preferred but not required.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding quota in a high-expectation environment.
- Passion for winning new business and growing accounts—strong “hunter” mentality with consultative sales skills (Sandler experience a plus).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- A high sense of urgency, curiosity, and adaptability.
- Comfortable managing complex deals and a varied set of stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce.
