The Assistant Manager helps manage a $1M+ annual event budget, oversees promotional item ideation and inventory management, and contributes to vendor coordination-including contract review, quote negotiation, and development of scopes of work. Operating within an agile brand marketing pod, the Assistant Manager will lead event execution logistics and support tactical planning across an annual calendar of over 200 events. This role will serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders across the organization-including executive leadership, Sales VPs, and cross-functional teams-by clearly representing the work of the Events Marketing team and maintaining visibility and alignment at all levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support and Partner with the Events Marketing Manager in End-to-End Event Execution:
Collaborate closely with the Events Marketing Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute over 200 annual events, including third-party trade association and management company events and select internal corporate events as well as fully owned customer-facing activations. Act as a hands-on partner in bringing event strategies to life and ensuring successful execution aligned to segment goals.

Help translate strategic objectives into impactful event experiences that support sales initiatives, customer acquisition, and relationship development. Work in partnership with the Events Marketing Manager and sales leadership to ensure each event delivers measurable business value.

Assist in managing a $1M+ annual event budget by supporting planning, expense tracking, and reconciliation. Ensure all spend aligns with forecasted plans and contributes to ROI-driven outcomes.

Partner with internal teams, including sales, brand marketing, creative, legal, finance, warehouse operations, and executive stakeholders, to ensure seamless coordination throughout the event lifecycle. Align with the Events Marketing Manager to streamline communication and execution across business units.

Work alongside the Events Marketing Manager to manage external vendors, including reviewing contracts, negotiating pricing, securing quotes, and coordinating with legal and procurement teams to develop scopes of work (SOWs) for large-scale events. Ensure vendors meet expectations for quality, timing, and budget.

Support the Events Marketing Manager in building and maintaining an annual and quarterly events calendar that aligns with sales goals and strategies. Ensure timelines, resources, and logistics are in sync across third-party and owned events.

Collaborate to collect data, feedback, and performance metrics post-event. Assist the Events Marketing Manager in evaluating event ROI, sales impact, and customer engagement to drive continuous improvement.

Lead the process of conceptualizing promotional item ideas that align with event goals and audience needs. Manage end-to-end ordering, vendor sourcing, and budget alignment for promotional merchandise. Maintain and oversee inventory levels to ensure availability for upcoming events and coordinate timely distribution and shipment.

Function as part of a high-performing, agile "pod structure to support responsive and fast-paced planning. Act as a dependable executional lead, stepping in as needed to provide continuity and drive results.

Support operational readiness by coordinating with marketing operations, creative, and project management teams to manage timelines, deliverables, and logistics. Contribute to documentation, process enhancement, and executional best practices.

Under the direction of the Events Marketing Manager, ensure that all event elements-from signage and giveaways to messaging and on-site experience-are aligned with Lowe's brand standards and provide a consistent, high-quality experience across channels.
