Position Summary

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. (LCPA) is seeking a visionary Chief Technology and Digital Officer (CTDO) to lead enterprise-wide digital strategy and transformation, shaping the future of audience and patron engagement through technology. Positioned within LCPA, one of Lincoln Center's resident arts organizations and the operational manager of the campus, this role is designed to achieve novel impact innovating our digital strategy to maximally engage performance audiences.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, and in close partnership with chief executives and technology and marketing leaders across Lincoln Center's resident arts organizations, the CTDO will build a shared, future-oriented digital ecosystem. The CDTO and their team will imagine and build frictionless unified ticketing and create a flagship mobile app that generates performance-goer enthusiasm before, during, and after each Lincoln Center experience. These tools will also be essential in donor and patron stewardship, and the emergence of cross-institutional loyalty and engagement programs.

Importantly, the CTDO will also oversee Lincoln Center's website redesign, as well as core digital infrastructure, including enterprise-wide networks, foundational IT systems, digital signage, and campus-wide connectivity - delivering a seamless and accessible digital experience for public audiences and internal teams.

The CTDO will also evaluate the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI), identifying and responsibly implementing AI tools that enhance personalization, content discovery, operations, and audience insights, while upholding Lincoln Center's values of transparency, inclusion, and creativity.

This role sits on the President and CEO's senior executive team and is uniquely positioned to build the sustained trust and confidence of fellow executives, board members, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and lead a bold, long-term digital strategy that aligns with our mission to broaden access and deepen engagement
  • Work closely with the President and CEO and peers to embed digital thinking across all functions
  • Lead a culture of innovation, experimentation, and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Develop and manage a high-performing in-house team, which currently includes more than 20 full-time professionals

Resident Arts Organizations Coordination & Shared Digital Infrastructure

  • Collaborate with Lincoln Center's 11 resident arts organizations to develop a cohesive, interoperable digital strategy
  • Spearhead the implementation of unified systems for ticketing, patron data management, and donor engagement
  • Enhance the design and operability of Lincoln Center's website
  • Identify and implement technologies that enable loyalty, rewards, and membership programs, including programs that are developed and owned by other departments

App Development & Experience Innovation

  • Lead the design, development, and continuous evolution of a flagship mobile app
  • Integrate features that enhance live performance experiences, including personalized content, wayfinding, real-time notifications, and post-show engagement
  • Use human-centered design principles and user research to create an intuitive, inclusive experience for a wide range of users

Audience Engagement, AI & Personalization

  • Work in tandem with peers in marketing to unify digital and marketing strategies that reflect audience interests, behaviors, and pathways to discovery
  • Leverage data, analytics, and emerging AI tools to drive content personalization, recommendations, and audience development
  • Explore and implement responsible, mission-aligned AI applications to streamline operations and unlock new methods of engagement
  • Guide the evolution of Lincoln Center's web, email, and digital content platforms to support the creation of an engaging and cohesive brand narrative

Technology, Infrastructure & Data Governance

  • Oversee core digital infrastructure, including Wi-Fi networks, digital signage, IT systems, and other essential campus technologies
  • Deliver consistently reliable, high-performance digital connectivity for audiences, staff, and partners across the campus
  • Establish and maintain best practices and protections in cybersecurity, data privacy, and digital governance
  • Evaluate and implement scalable technology solutions that advance operational efficiency and audience experience

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior digital leadership, preferably in large, complex, mission-driven organizations
  • Proven track record developing and launching consumer-facing digital products, particularly mobile apps and loyalty infrastructure
  • Expertise in digital strategy, infrastructure, CRM, AI-powered personalization, UX design, and platform integration
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating multi-institutional partnerships or cross-sector coalitions
  • Experience steering change management initiatives to successful outcomes
  • Skilled executive decision-making and cross-functional influence
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking
  • Experience in scaling, transforming or innovating operations
  • Ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organizational structure with varied stakeholder needs and priorities
  • Knowledge of emerging AI capabilities and best practices for ethical, inclusive implementation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to align diverse stakeholders toward shared goals
  • Proven experience leading high-impact teams and strategies
  • A deep appreciation for the performing arts and the role of culture in civic life
  • Completed undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university

Compensation & Benefits

Lincoln Center offers competitive compensation, including a target-based incentive program for eligible employees, and a comprehensive employee benefits plan, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 403(b) savings plan, paid time off, wellness programs, and learning and development opportunities, as well as opportunities to enjoy artistic performances on our stages.

The base salary range for this position is $350,000 to $375,000, with the actual compensation depending on a variety of relevant job-related factors, including, e.g., experience, skill level, and education.
