Position: Arts Management Fellow
Role Overview:
This full-time, year-long fellowship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in line producing while working across multiple departments at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA). The Arts Fellow/Project Manager will play a vital role in both executing performances and supporting strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Artistic Programming, the fellow will join a dynamic team of accomplished Line Producers and take the lead on advancing and executing performances-particularly with a focus on family programming-ensuring all elements are in place to realize the artist's vision. In addition, the fellow will support the planning and implementation of high-impact, organization-wide initiatives and special projects that engage both internal teams and external partners.

- Support the Director of Artistic Programming and other LCPA Curators in advancing and planning performances, projects, and events across Lincoln Center Venues.
- Supports Director of Family Programming and Family Programming Line Producer in the planning and execution of a wide range of performances oriented to kids, teens and families.
- Main artist contact throughout the entire producing process including but not limited to contracts, budgets, marketing materials, collecting tech and hospitality riders.
- Contribute to onsite management alongside Line Producers; create a positive experience for artists and serve as onsite representative to ensure all concerns are addressed swiftly.
- Work closely with Event Production Managers running and advancing shows: securing all production elements such as backline, equipment rental, and managing day-of schedules.
- In close collaboration with project managers and curators, manage project budgets : make decisions that have a direct impact on the production related to rentals, housing, hospitality, and transportation.
- Record and uphold the terms of media agreements; works with Lincoln Center's video team as needed.
- Represents Lincoln Center onsite.
Administrative & Project Management:
- Support the Programming team in special projects that require unique attention and expertise when it comes to partnerships and external collaborators.
- Supports Director of Artistic Programming and Line Producers in performances and special projects as assigned. Manage project timelines in collaboration with project leads to ensure successful on-time delivery of projects.
- Keep track of the progress and process of the assigned projects; leading and maintaining internal departmental and external communication with different partners.
- Organize and lead regular meetings to set and manage expectations and update project priorities, timelines, and goals. Communicate project status and success to Programming Team and partners.
- Project manage complex and large-scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives. Interface with managers and leaders to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources
- Maintain internal communications with Lincoln Center's Departments including Performance and Campus Operations, Production, Legal, Marketing, Communication & Advocacy, and People Team, as well as LCPA resident organizations as applicable.
- Together with the Programming team, support artistic and institutional relationships, building partnerships with Lincoln Center's several departments, constituents, and artists.
- Manages, maintains and update Monday.com, Arts Vision and SharePoint as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years' experience in related field.
- 2 -4 years of experience in the performing arts, ideally in event producing, general management, or production.
- A solution-minded approach when faced with challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, results driven department/organization
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.
- Proactive and execution-oriented, with a strong bias for action.
- Work style that can integrate effectively within a team environment and handle various personality types and working styles.
- A drive to get things done within the stipulated timeframe.
- Able to work in a highly collaborative atmosphere and within a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey ideas.
- Ability to, and willingness to work evenings and weekends, and a robust schedule indoors and outdoors during summer months.
- Attention to detail and solid organization skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow through collaboration with peers and colleagues across the department
