• Paraprofessional work both in and outside the classroom with small groups or individual students to facilitate learning and understanding.

• Two years of college experience
• ? A two-year college degree
• ? Passed the Para-Pro Assessment (within the first year of employment)
• ? One year or 1,000 hours of previous employment experience in a school or working with children
• ? Passed annual school-level evaluations
• ? Completed 48 credit hours of college level classes
• ? Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials
• ? Completed LEA required professional development modules/training
• ? Completed Other Requirements - LEAs may request approval from IDOE

• Two (2) years prior experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong desire to work within an innovative, urban educational program
• Ability to use data to inform instruction and decision-making related to student achievement
• Ability to turn best practices into high quality, goal-driven results
• Highly effective writing, oral and interpersonal skills to communicate with a varied audience
• Data management tools, organizational tools, computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
