About the Bidding Intelligence group

The Bidding Intelligence group forms one of the core pillars of Liftoff's success. Liftoff operates and bids in millions of auctions per second. Using data from a variety of sources to train deep learning models enables us to make the right bidding decision for each individual auction, driving value for our customers.

As a Software Engineer on the Bidding Intelligence group, you will:

  • Work with an experienced team of Software, Infrastructure, and ML Engineers
  • Design, engineer & implement reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient systems
  • Research new ways to optimize bidding strategies
  • Enable next generation ML models and technologies
  • Utilize vendor-based products (AWS, Weights & Biases, etc.), open source technologies (PyTorch, PySpark, etc.) and in-house tooling

Desired qualities and experiences:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in Software Engineering and/or Infrastructure
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science
  • Very strong coding ability
  • Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience building low-latency, high-throughput, distributed backend services
  • Experience building data-intensive applications
  • Good team communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in ad-tech
  • Golang, Python
  • Game theory, auction theory

LOCATION:

This role eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TX, UT, and WA. We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and NYC.


Compensation: 

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role: 

SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $170,000 - $190,000
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $155,000 - $175,000
All other cities and towns in our approved states: $145,000 - $165,000
