The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
As a Senior Project Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting project delivery and change adoption in the Office of Underwriting for Cyber reporting into the Global Product Leader, Cyber Office of Underwriting, while interfacing into the wider GRS organization. The role will closely collaborate with the Business Alignment and Program Manager, Cyber Office of Underwriting and follow their direction on any project assignment. The role will initially focus on analysis deliverables in support of the GRS initiative for Cyber Risk in General Lines of Business but has scope to get involved in various strategic and prioritized initiatives. We are seeking a candidate with business analyst and project management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management Experience
- Business Analysis, Planning & Monitoring : Plan business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement, business analysis governance
- Elicitation & Collaboration: conduct requirement gathering session with stakeholder, underwriters, operations, technology, and senior management
- Requirements Definition: Analysis, synthesis and refinement of elicitation results into requirements specification (functional, non-functional data etc.), ensure specification meet quality standard and are usable for purpose
- Application of Requirements Analysis Techniques : gap analysis, business process modelling, flowchart, persona diagrams, data
- Manage Requirements Lifecycle: Trace maintain, prioritize, assess, and approve business requirements
- System Support: Define solution approach in partnership with technology and business agility teams to ensure successful holistic implementation of new systems and enhancement
- Training & Support: Assist in training end-users and providing ongoing support and troubleshooting as needed
- Data Analysis : Conduct data analysis, including data mapping, and validation, to support project objectives and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication and serve as the liaison between underwriting teams, IT, product development, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
- Business Documentation : Assist in the development and documentation of business prioritization frameworks, deliver roadmaps, change adoption metrics and tracking
- Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of projects related to underwriting and product development, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to objectives
- Testing Support: Provide support in testing and quality assurance activities, including the creation of test cases. Collaborate with the delivery organizations to ensure timely delivery of milestones, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of business process and change readiness assessments, data analysis techniques and methodologies
- Familiarity with underwriting processes and insurance products, specifically in relation to silent cyber risk in general lines, is highly desirable
- Proficient in using tools and technologies for data analysis and data visualization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex business issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization globally
- Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience in Agile project methodologies is a plus
- Displays strong research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, influencing, relationship management, and presentation skills.
- Strong business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions.
- Solid ability to support change and impart value within an organization.
- Solid project management skills as part of implementing business process changes.
- Strong knowledge of available data sources, strengths and shortcomings.
- May also be relevant based on the particular needs of the position
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and solid knowledge of database software.
- Solid knowledge of business intelligence tools preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in addition to 5+ years of relevant experience to include business analysis work.
