Consultant, Product Research - Auto
Description
The US Retail Markets (USRM) Personal Lines Auto Product Delivery and Development team is hiring for a Senior Analyst/Consultant on the Auto Product Frontier Team. One Auto is a key component of the Frontier strategy; a multi-year business and technology transformation effort that aims to radically simplify and accelerate how USRM goes to market, powered by a modern, future-ready unified insurance platform. This position will be responsible for translating the design requirements of our new product offering for One Auto into clearly defined outcome statements.
The ideal candidate will possess analytical capabilities and will work collaboratively and independently to manage requirements and program development/implementation. This role will be responsible for working with stakeholders to garner an understanding of product requirements and translating the details in a consistent and efficient manner.
There is an-office requirement if you live within 50 miles of one of these locations as follows and preference given to candidates within hubs:
- Boston, MA
- Seattle, WA
- Portsmouth, NH
- Synthesize research and analysis into actionable outcome statements that impact go-forward product design
- Translate requirements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and informed handoffs between teams
- Collaborate with Delivery-led workstreams, IT, and Product partners to guide day-to-day activities through launch
- Contribute to project timelines and roadmaps, closely following risks and dependencies
- Ability to work through ambiguity and chart a course forward to optimize speed and building a go forward product foundation
- Drive consensus with business partners with differing points of view
- Strong Auto Insurance Product knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, typically 4 years.
- Strong proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
- Experienced with product management and project management.
- Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field Minimum 4 year's relevant work experience, typically 6 years.
- Master's degree beneficial. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
- Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
- Experience managing projects preferred.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
