Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Analyst who is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation services while ensuring the efficient flow of goods, services, and information from origin to destination. This role involves performing system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance, and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. The analyst will also assist in evaluating and improving logistics processes to meet operational requirements and customer needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform system fault analysis and participate in life cycle maintenance activities for transportation and logistics systems.
- Support integrated product support (IPS) efforts to maintain readiness and reliability of transportation assets.
- Coordinate and perform transportation services, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of goods and materials.
- Control the flow of goods, services, and information between origin and final destination to meet customer expectations.
- Track, monitor, and report on transportation operations and logistics metrics.
- Identify and recommend improvements to transportation and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to shipments, maintenance activities, and inspections.
- Work cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, maintenance, and customer service teams.
- Support problem resolution and escalation of transportation-related issues.

Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or transportation support.
- Demonstrated experience performing system fault analysis and life cycle maintenance on major systems.
- Working knowledge of logistics functions such as inventory control, materials management, warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with integrated product support (IPS) practices.
- Strong understanding of standard logistics processes and ability to improve operational workflows.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration within and across departments.
- Ability to train and support junior logistics personnel.
- Proficient in the use of logistics systems, spreadsheets, and basic data reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or relevant certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in government, defense, or industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or transportation/logistics management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with experience resolving complex operational challenges.
- Knowledge of safety assurance practices and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience supporting or leading logistics planning for large-scale programs or distributed supply chains.

Pay Range $44,200.00 - $79,900.00
