Your Main Mission:

Leidos is seeking a Sustainability Project Manager to manage projects to develop and implement sustainability and resiliency strategies for the Department of Defense. You will also:

  • Manage and oversee energy and sustainability projects focused on DoD emissions reduction planning, buildings, net zero fleet and installations, and sustainable procurement
  • Lead research and analysis on sustainability topics mentioned above in conjunction with subject matter experts from within Leidos and industry subcontractors
  • Provide direct project support to installation energy, water, waste, and recycling initiatives
  • Promote and explain sustainability strategies to multiple internal and external stakeholders

Manage and oversee sustainability issues surrounding the following topic areas:

  • Net Zero Installation Energy
  • Sustainable Procurement/Industry coordination
  • Waste / Recycling / Circularity
  • Hydrofluorocarbon and Chemicals Management
  • Natural resources
  • Innovation and opportunities for advancement

What Sets You Apart:

  • Familiarity with energy and water efficiency, Greenhouse Gas accounting, waste/circulation/recycling, sustainable procurement, zero emission vehicles, and HFCs
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field and at least 8 years' experience in federal contract management
  • Experience with DoD sustainability and energy infrastructure execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

You Might Also Have:

  • Familiarity with DoD installation energy, water, waste, and recycling assessments
  • Previous engagement in climate and clean energy projects with government agencies, utilities, non-profits, or international organizations
  • Understanding clean energy and greenhouse gas reduction solutions in the built environment
  • Familiarity with the Defense Climate Assessment Tool (DCAT) and OSD/Service level climate plans
  • Proficient in facilitating stakeholder groups to reach consensus

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
