Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Lead to develop, implement, and oversee quality assurance standards and procedures. The QA Lead ensures that products, services, and processes meet internal requirements as well as customer expectations, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory standards. This role is key in driving continuous improvement through data-driven analysis, root cause investigations, and proactive quality initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA standards, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry best practices and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify conformance with internal quality standards, ISO, CMMI, and other applicable quality management frameworks.
- Identify quality issues and lead root cause analysis to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and evaluate operational processes and outputs to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and project management to resolve quality-related issues and ensure process alignment.
- Track and analyze key quality metrics and provide regular reports to management to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Provide QA training and guidance to internal teams to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Participate in project reviews and process evaluations to ensure quality assurance integration from planning through execution.
- Support compliance efforts with regulatory requirements and customer-specific quality mandates.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining technical QA/QC systems for complex products or systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to identify quality trends and drive decision-making.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with quality control, testing operations, and requirements analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of integration testing, system testing, and performance testing methodologies.
- Ability to develop and execute test plans and apply structured troubleshooting approaches to identify root causes of defects.
- Experience using or developing test automation frameworks and tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal and client-facing project teams.
- Proven ability to work independently on complex technical projects and provide mentorship to junior technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISTQB Certification, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or equivalent.
- Experience in end-to-end product lifecycle quality assurance, including design validation and post-delivery feedback analysis.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards such as ISO 9001, IEEE 829, or CMMI frameworks.
- Strong project management skills and experience coordinating QA efforts across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with testing strategies and QA planning in Agile, DevOps, or hybrid environments.
- Advanced skills in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, LoadRunner) and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Broad understanding of related domains such as systems engineering, software development, or manufacturing processes.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
