The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Purchasing Agent located at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your knowledge and skills in procurement support and contract support on the AEGIS program. In this role, you will be a central point of contact between Engineering, the Customer Support Representatives, Procurement, and NASA Customer representatives for the facilitation of project support activities including procurement processing, tracking materials and services orders, and soliciting funding approval requests from NASA for AEGIS IT projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for coordinating purchasing of materials and vendor services in support of the AEGIS contract. This will include working with the internal engineering subject matter experts, customer services representatives, and internal procurement representatives to identify and coordinate purchase requests and track internal purchase orders. Responsible for outstanding customer and stakeholder engagement and use of customer purchase workflow and toolsets. This role requires careful detailed documentation, tracking, monitor and control, and customer and stakeholder follow-up. Once projects are designed, the Purchasing Agent will be responsible for providing the project estimates to the customer for review and approval. Upon approval, the Purchasing Agent will then create and maintenance detailed tracking records for all procurements and track until fulfillment. This person will be responsible to report on procurement and project activities to Finance to reconcile the planned vs actual expenditures. This role requires careful detailed documentation, tracking, monitor and control, and customer and stakeholder follow-up. Basic Qualifications:
• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field or 3 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 3 or more years of relevant Supply Chain and/or Procurement experience.
• 3+ years' experience in a large enterprise IT environment.
• Experience with supply chain and/or procurement methodologies, processes, and workflow tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with large enterprise IT procurement and supply chain services, processes, and procedures.
• Experience with NASA

Pay Range:
Pay Range $42,250.00 - $76,375.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
