Description

The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful operations of all Fort Independence IT Services deployed across multiple domains, data centers and cloud environments. Organizational tasks include being the program's primary contact and representative in customer review boards, status meetings, and serving as communications conduit related to enterprise IT announcements and requirements. The Operations Lead manages a team, responsible for ensuring the program applications are healthy through system and enterprise activity monitoring. Ensuring all incidents are accurately documented and all system changes follow enterprise guidelines.

Additionally, the Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the Security Accreditation Process and Compliance is adhered to by working closely with the Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Tech Lead and team members, who provide security/vulnerability assessments and manage overall network security using network and security-related hardware and software.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Attend daily operations status calls representing Fort Independence customer organization
  • Communicate agency initiatives and/or cybersecurity alerts to Fort Independence PMO for action into IT Service Teams
  • Communicate IT Operational status to Fort Independence PMO and customer as needed
  • Track, consolidate, and report security accreditation status across organization to Fort Independence PMO and customer as needed so that appropriate actions can be planned
  • Work closely with ISSE Tech lead to ensure all IT System Security is adhered too
  • Proactively identify innovations and automations across the organization to support standardizations and common IT patterns that can be implemented across Service Teams
  • Responsible for coordinating SCIF IT maintenance and maintenance issues
  • Responsible for coordinating and communicating physical and IT maintenance efforts with Security, building/facility Manager, and required associated vendors
  • Responsible for coordinating with customer vendors for IT maintenance requirements
  • Perform as process owner to effectively execute 365x24x7 communications/call tree for mission critical services
  • Responsible for meeting established Service Level Agreements and reporting
  • Personnel and project management

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS w/Polygraph and a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Operations and Enterprise change management processes and Incident resolution.
  • Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within a customer organization.
  • Experience meeting with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting customer projects and experience working with competing priorities. Demonstrated experience collaborating and coordinating across project teams and components facilitating information sharing, reuse and productivity improvements.
  • Due to the nature of the government contracts, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on ServiceNow platform experience
  • Dashboarding and implementation of reporting automations
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence boards

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
