We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mechanical Welder who is responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing mechanical components, piping systems, structural supports, and assemblies in both shop and field environments. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). The Mechanical Welder will interpret technical drawings and specifications to perform high-quality welds, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication of mechanical components, piping systems, and structural assemblies.
- Utilize MIG, TIG, Stick, and FCAW techniques based on material and job requirements.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and written instructions.
- Select appropriate materials, tools, and welding methods for each job.
- Conduct grinding, cutting, and metal preparation prior to and after welding as needed.
- Inspect and test completed welds for structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and hoists to move and position components.
- Work effectively in both shop and field environments.
- Maintain welding tools and equipment, ensuring everything is in safe and proper working order.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards and practices.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in production, assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in electromechanical assembly techniques and ability to follow blueprints and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and basic inspection methods.
- Experience operating and calibrating machinery used in manufacturing environments.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to interpret and work with manufacturing instructions, work orders, and process documentation.
- Capable of solving routine to moderately complex problems with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills; able to exchange information with team members and related departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or vocational training in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to monitor and document production.
- Demonstrated experience with production planning, resource scheduling, and project coordination.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems and inventory management tools.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, including process improvement and cost reduction strategies.
- Proven ability to lead small teams or coordinate work within a production environment.
- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze unclear issues and implement effective solutions.
- OSHA or industry-relevant safety certifications.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
