Description
The National Security Sector within Leidos is seeking a Manual Tester to support the Custom Border Patrol TVPS program that handles all the travelers coming into the country via Airports, Seaports, Pedestrian, and Vehicle lanes. The candidate will be responsible for inspection and testing to identify bugs, breaks or failures in the product. Uses test plans, cases, reports, and defect logs to execute test cases, report defects, and ensure that the product functions as designed. Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area. Typically, responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff. Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution. Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. Communicates with internal and client project team members. Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.

This position REQUIRES the candidate to be in Ashburn, VA, 2 twice a week and pay for parking or use the provided shuttle
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
- Understand the requirements, generate Junit test cases, coordinate with developers and execute the test cases in the test environment and document the results
- Use X-Ray tool to generate test cases
- Work with the automation team to automate manual test cases.
- Coordinate with the performance/load testing team and provide necessary test data if needed and verify the results of load testing.
- Coordinate with all other teams involved (testers) for the particular change request and ensure they complete functional/regression testing and provide signoff on the due date
- Verify the output of manual test cases vs automated test cases, generate as many negative test cases as possible
- Daily scrum calls to provide status on what was done previous day and will be done on the present day
- Ensure customer questions are answered on the same day or next.
- On rare occasions, be willing to support the contract in evening, weekend, and holidays is ever needed
- Willing to travel to the DC area once or twice a week (on-site visits to Ashburn and occasional visit to Dulles airport to support pilot projects)
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 8 years of prior relevant experience; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
- Over 10 years of experience coding in C++, Java or other Window's type languages.
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start
- Experience in Troubleshooting problems
- Good Customer interaction and communication
- Good communication skills including documentation and ticket resolution
- Can work with a team or independently
- Experience in Windows, Software Center, and looking into logs to determine cause of issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of fingerprint readers, cameras and document scanners
- Knowledge of different type of travel documents
- DHS BI clearance
- Develop test cases to use during the testing phase
- Use of Artificial Intelligence

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
