Are you ready to jump-start your career in systems engineering? We are seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining and refreshing telecom networks across multiple sites. This position requires hands-on experience with Linux, Ciena, and NiFi, as well as a strong understanding of data flow, cables, and collection systems. You will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), troubleshoot issues, deploy software updates, and ensure seamless network operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform remote maintenance and refresh efforts across 8 sites.
  • Engage in daily interaction with partner entities, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Administer systems using Linux and Ciena, supporting software configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Understand telecom network architecture, software package integration, and data flow mechanics.
  • Analyze, validate, and ensure the integrity of deployed software updates.
  • Submit Data Management Requests (DMRs) for data flow fixes and improvements.
  • Configure and deploy new software updates while performing rigorous troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with SMEs to ensure operational success and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management from an accredited institution. Alternatively, five (5) years of relevant Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Two or more years related experience. Technical Bachelor's degrees may count toward experience requirements.
  • Clearance Required: Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundation in Linux and Ciena for system administration.
  • Experience with NiFi for data flow management.
  • Understanding of telecom cables, collection systems, and overall data flow mechanics.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
