Junior Network and Computer Systems Administrator (ROD)

The Leidos Defense Group is seeking an entry level Network and Computer Systems Administrator to provide networking support as part of the Range Operations Division (ROD) Range Support Branch of the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Patuxent River, Maryland. Members of this dynamic team design and develop complex hardware and software network architectures to support real-time Research, Development, Test, & Engineering (RDT&E) test and fleet training events conducted by ATR in support of customers' requirements.

Responsibilities - Work you'll do:

  • Designs/Deploys/Monitors/Troubleshoots unclassified and classified Range networks
  • Follows and enforces Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity policy
  • Provides phone and onsite support for customer requirements received through the organizational ticket system
  • Works with the team of network administrators to ensure readiness and real-time support for test events
  • Provide documentation on all data collection policies and processes developed and/or implemented
  • Provide reports of data collection findings
  • Attend Government requested meetings
  • Prepare and submit deliverable documents in accordance with schedule with zero discrepancies
  • Overtime, including some nights and weekends, and some travel is required

Required Experience, Skills, and Education - To Land This Gig You'll Need:

  • Must have a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Maintain industry credentials and authorized cyber security workforce status in accordance with DoD/DoN and customer Cybersecurity Policies, Directives, and governance documentation
  • Must hold current industry certifications to achieve and maintain IAT Level II certification IAW DoD instruction 8570.1

    • Security+
    • LINUX Certification
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience - Extra Awesome If You Have:

  • Network+ and/or CCNA
  • Experience using SharePoint and MS Office Suite including MS Project

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
