The Integrated Aviation Solutions Division currently has an opening for an Electrical Designer to work in our Bridgewater, VA office. In this Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) division, our staff works in a fast-paced and hands-on environment to deliver innovative products and solutions to support aerial intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance platforms for today's warfighter. THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
- Create detailed electrical drawings using CAD to visualize and design complex engineering projects.
- Perform drawing reviews for peers to ensure quality of work.
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders and subcontractors for programmatic updates and requirements.
- Work closely with other functional teams (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Integration Technicians, Mission Operators, etc.) to develop thorough and cohesive system designs.
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proficient using 2D Electrical CAD software, specifically AutoCAD Electrical.
- Electrical cable design experience.
- Extensive experience in electrical design processes and best practices.
- Ability to access various areas of different aircraft types, which may involve kneeling, stooping, standing, and lifting weights.
- Ability to perform on-aircraft surveys in confined spaces against 2D drawings.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in airborne navigation, communication, and imaging sensor systems.
- Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality management processes.
- Experience designing for DoD customers.
- Experience with cable manufacturing processes.
- Excellent oral, written, and visual presentation communication skills.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
