Financial Advisory Business Technology- Project Manager

Lazard Financial Advisory Business Technology (FABT) is responsible for all applications that enable the Financial Advisory Division. This includes support of all aspects of the annual business lifecycle, client lifecycle, and deal management processes including CRM, Knowledge Management, Revenue Reporting, and Resource Planning.

The FABT PMO organization is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Project Manager (PM) with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Reporting to the head of PMO, this role will enable you to be in the middle of the action delivering projects/ programs within the FABT portfolio, partnering with the various teams within FABT to facilitate internal communication, fostering effective collaboration, and supporting the management team in communicating with stakeholders to manage expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, development staff, and division representatives to enable completion of project requirements
  • Maintain an integrated project plan of all projects, critical milestones, delivery dates, and project interdependencies
  • Proactively anticipate risks, opportunities, dependencies and costs, plan resources, milestones, and deliverables to manage and implement projects; Provide recommendations to address challenges, risks, and issues
  • Guide the team through the successful completion of project tasks and deliverables, while focusing on identifying and managing risk, and analyzing and prioritizing key dependencies
  • Develop and maintain project status tracking and reporting tools including defining KPIs to measure success of projects/ programs
  • Actively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment, visibility, and transparency
  • Monitor project progress and provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to the PMO and senior management
  • Create accountability among project team members to drive on-time delivery of project deliverables
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the PMO
  • Ensure completion of required project documentation and adherence to policies and guidance
Qualifications:
  • BS or BA degree in IT or business-related major
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT project management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification
  • Proficient in MS Projects or other Project Management related tools
  • Experience working with formal project management methodologies (SDLC, Agile and Waterfall, etc.)
  • Able to take initiative, anticipate needs and listen comprehensively
  • Proactive and self-motivated with an ability to think and work independently and multi-task effectively
  • An out-of-the box thinker with a strong ability to identify and adapt to shifting priorities and risks and work under tight timeframes
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple teams and other stakeholders at all organizational levels, and strong foundation in building and leveraging relationships for immediate and longer-term effectiveness
  • Strong verbal and written communicator, able to speak with the business experts confidently and produce comprehensive documentation
  • Well organized and consistently delivers on commitments within predetermined timelines
Nice to Have
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA preferred
  • CRM experience a plus
