Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Materials Clerk to join our team in RTP, NC. This position will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders of medical lab supplies and products.
The Integrated Oncology division of LabCorp is seeking a Laboratory Materials Clerk to join their team in RTP, NC! As a Laboratory Materials Clerk you will perform tasks that support the Pathology and Histology departments. Core responsibilities include retrieving FFPE blocks and glass slides from both on- and off-site storage facilities, preparing and unpacking palletized shipments of boxes at our off-site storage facility, and preparing materials for send out to other facilities. In addition, this employee will be responsible for other slide room tasks including, filing/ pulling/ delivering requested materials, collating pathologist's slides, and general upkeep of on- and off-site storage facilities.

Work Schedule: first shift Monday-Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous medical or production experience is a plus
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years' old
- Access to a personal vehicle for required travel
- Strong verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Responsibilities
- Filling and pulling specimens as requested
- Perform temperature & humidity monitoring
- General upkeep of on-site and off-site storage facilities
- Process send out orders from internal and external customers via fax and email
- Gather and complete appropriate forms and materials in preparation for send out
- Package materials for shipment utilizing various shipping methods such as Fed Ex, UPS and Labcorp couriers
- Correspond with other labs and support groups to resolve client requests, inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Inventory, palletize, unpack, and shelve blocks and slide boxes
- Coordinate pick up orders for palletized boxes of materials
- Ensure adherence to company Global/Regional/Local SOPs as appropriate
- Comply with relevant Environmental, Health and Safety at work regulations
- Ensure company procedures are followed in relation to security and access to relevant areas, data, and/or sample integrity
- Travel between RTP and our off-site storage facility in Burlington, NC to retrieve and transfer specimens twice a week
- Safely operate personal vehicle; obey all traffic laws, report on a specified route, and evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed
