The Brewery Controller plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to IFRS and company policy are our breweries to allow for clear financial information and assist in decision making to improve brewery performance. The Brewery Controller will be involved in completing and compiling monthly financial results, working with operational staff to understand variances and communicating results to senior management.
H ere is a brief list of what you will be working on:
- Responsible for supply financial activities and results with specific focus on the Turning Point Brewery and Co-pack/Re-pack activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for ATR, Reporting & Supply for all logistics finance matters
- Manage the accuracy of the income statement and balance sheet items pertaining to the supply business units, including co-packers
- Provide financial visibility to ensure cost related targets are met.
- Participate in explaining performance variances to budget, focusing on variable industrial costs, fixed industrial costs & supply chain losses, while providing guidance/support to supply leaders throughout the post-close cycle
- Participate the preparation of the budget for Canada supply (excluding central supply overheads), and assisting in building plans and executing on actions to help achieve cost related targets.
- Lead, or assist in all other financial related activities relevant to Canada Supply.
Job Qualifications
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- University Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience: Certified Professional Accountant
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian GAAP
- Strong fundamental accounting skills
- Knowledge of the beer business - production/distribution
- Strong skills in MS Office
- Knowledge of Financial SAP
- Able to work within tight reporting deadlines
- Able to work in a stressful environment
- Strong attention to detail player
