As the Fund Controller and Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our investment activities, explicitly focusing on BVI Investments and Blizzard. This position requires a deep understanding of US GAAP (specifically ASC 946), tax regulations, and a strong background in crypto-native financial transactions. You will act as a crucial link between the investment team and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective management of investments.

  • Investment and Financial Oversight: Strong knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 946) and tax regulations. Execute various crypto-native transactions, including token transfers, vesting contracts, SAFT, and Equity transactions.

  • Investment Management Support: Support and work directly with the investment team as the Finance & Operations liaison. Manage vesting schedules relevant to SAFT / SAFE-T investments and valuations for 200+ investments across various forms (Levels 1, 2, and 3).

  • Custody and Administrative Management: Manage interfaces with a variety of crypto custody providers and assist with the management of fund administrators.

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Lead the issuance of quarterly/annual financial statements K-1s and coordinate audits. Oversee fund expense accruals, allocations, and reimbursements where applicable.

  • Investor Relations: Coordinate distributions and provide NAV estimates to select investors before completing final NAV packages. Respond effectively to investor communications.

  • Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate with portfolio companies to obtain quarterly metrics and facilitate DDQs.

  • Tax Management: Manage external tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimization of tax obligations.

  • Project Management: Perform ad hoc related tasks and projects as assigned, demonstrating proactive ownership and initiative.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Adaptability and Resourcefulness: A 'can-do' attitude capable of being scrappy and resourceful in a dynamic environment. Able to make critical trade-off decisions and prioritize effectively under pressure.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities, demonstrated experience in a leadership role influencing cross-functional teams, high integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Proactive and Self-Motivated: High energy and an autonomous work style; requires minimal supervision and takes initiative to tackle problems and challenges as they arise.

  • Attention to Detail and Strategic Perspective: Exceptional attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture. Demonstrates the ability to think critically and analytically, enabling effective problem-solving and decision-making under tight deadlines.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferred.

  • Experience: At least 5+ years of fund or partnership accounting experience, ideally in a crypto-focused environment.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for financial modeling and analysis.

  • Location: Reside in the Cayman Islands

Salary Range: $137,600 to $171,800
