The Role

As a Program Leader, you will play a critical role in supporting the Director of Project Management by driving value, fostering a growth mindset, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects within a consulting and infrastructure environment. You will oversee key performance metrics, provide strategic insights, and leverage your expertise in Excel and PowerPoint to support decision-making and project execution. This role requires a highly analytical, results-driven professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Given the dynamic nature of the executive landscape, the Portfolio Leader requires a flexible and consistent team player while maintaining confidentiality and trust at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Leadership & Strategy:

  • Drive strategic initiatives and support the Director of Project Management in executing national project management priorities.
  • Develop, implement, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and optimize project outcomes.
  • Foster a growth mindset by continuously seeking opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, client needs, and operational execution.

Project Execution & Value Delivery:

  • Oversee and coordinate multiple projects and programs, ensuring successful execution within scope, time, and budget.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring smooth delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Support change management initiatives to drive value creation across projects.
  • Optimize workflows and ensure adherence to industry best practices in project management.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze complex data sets, build financial models, and create insightful dashboards for leadership.
  • Develop high-impact PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and status updates to executives and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project financials, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Act as a key liaison between internal teams, customers, and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, memos, and presentations with strong attention to detail and clarity. Lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and drive consensus across cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Delivery management or equivalent.
  • PMP or related Project Management Certification.
  • Proven experience in program or project management, ideally in a consulting or infrastructure environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, financial modeling) and PowerPoint (e.g., executive presentations, storytelling with data).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Experience developing and tracking KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically and drive data-backed decisions.
  • Mastery of French and English both spoken and written.

This position requires the employee to work on a regular basis with Kyndryl stakeholders located in other Canadian provinces, the United States, or internationally where English is the common language, making knowledge of the English language a requirement for this position in addition to fluency in French.
