The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Enterprise Architect specializing in Back Office processes and corporate services to join our broader team of enterprise architects representing the Chief Information Office (CIO). In this vital role you will be involved in streamlining business processes and enhancing digital capabilities by eliminating redundancies within our digital product portfolio, as well as formulating architectural decisions to tackle complex business challenges.

As a successful candidate you will be able to provide technical leadership for Back Office processes and solutions including accounting and controlling, tax, treasury, procurement and financial compliance capabilities deployed on the SAP platform. Additionally, you will help define a strategy supporting our real estate organization, addressing work-order management, space planning, and physical security.

Additionally, this role requires developing and managing an IT roadmap aligned with our business strategy and fostering innovation in self-service support and automation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of enhancing digital work environments and a strong commitment to data integrity and excellence. In this role you will be responsible to:

  • Promote and mature a platform-first strategy for Back Office financial systems including the transition of heritage applications and processes onto the SAP platform.
  • Create and maintain technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives to guide IT investments and enterprise priorities.
  • Produce high-level design documents in collaboration with Solution Architects for major projects and investments, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business goals.
  • Lead the Back Office Solution Architects in evaluating architectural options and capturing the final decisions to support high-level designs.
  • Lead design review sessions for system changes within the portfolio, ensuring compliance with architectural principles and long-term scalability.
  • Utilize tools like Signavio to document, analyze, and optimize business processes, aligning them with the enterprise architecture framework.
  • Use LeanIX to oversee the application portfolio, driving rationalization, cost efficiency, and alignment with organizational needs.

Your Future at Kyndryl

The compensation range for this position in the US is $173,280 to $329,280 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave and paid time off. Note: if this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years proven engineering and architecture experience supporting enterprise finance and real estate domains
  • Strong background in architecture methodology
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Experience modeling and streamlining critical end-to-end business processes
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and implementation.
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for extensions and integrations.
  • Familiarity with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP Build.
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud solutions (Ariba, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.).
