You will maintain and drive the clearing of technical debt, vulnerabilities, and currency of the 3rd party components within the product.

As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will also coach and mentor engineers to design and implement highly available, secure, distributed software in a scalable architecture. Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with 8 years of expertise to lead data-driven initiatives and advanced analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and modern database technologies, with proven ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Architecture

  • Design and implement comprehensive data strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead the development of scalable data warehousing and data lake solutions
  • Architect end-to-end data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
  • Establish data governance frameworks and best practices across the organization

Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning

  • Develop and deploy sophisticated machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, and optimization
  • Design and execute A/B tests and statistical experiments to measure business impact
  • Create advanced statistical models for forecasting, risk assessment, and customer analytics
  • Implement deep learning solutions for complex pattern recognition and NLP tasks

Data Engineering & Platform Management

  • Manage and optimize data infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments
  • Design ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data integration and transformation
  • Implement data quality monitoring and automated data validation systems
  • Optimize database performance and query efficiency across multiple platforms

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, providing technical guidance and career development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders
  • Present complex analytical findings to executive leadership and non-technical audiences
  • Lead data science initiatives and drive adoption of analytics across business units

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • 7 + years of experience in data science, analytics, or related quantitative fields
  • Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact data science projects in enterprise environments

Technical Skills

Programming & Analytics

  • Expert proficiency in Python and R for data analysis and machine learning
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in complex query optimization
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost)

Database Technologies

  • Azure: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB
  • Oracle: Oracle Database, Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • MongoDB: Document database design, aggregation pipelines, MongoDB Atlas
  • Additional Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database architectures


  • PostgreSQL: Advanced query optimization, performance tuning, and analytics functions
  • MySQL: Database administration, replication, and analytics workloads
  • SQL Server: SSIS/SSRS/SSAS, T-SQL programming, and data warehousing solutions

Data Platforms & Tools

  • Data Warehousing: Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse
  • Data Lakes: Azure Data Lake, Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Hadoop HDFS
  • ETL/ELT Tools: Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend
  • Big Data Technologies: Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop ecosystem
  • Visualization: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, matplotlib, plotly

Cloud Platforms

  • Microsoft Azure (primary focus with data services expertise)
  • AWS or Google Cloud Platform experience preferred
  • Understanding of cloud-native data architectures and serverless computing

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Leadership experience with track record of mentoring and developing team members
  • Project management skills with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Business acumen with ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with real-time streaming analytics and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment in production environments
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and data security best practices
  • Industry-specific domain expertise (finance, healthcare, retail, etc.)
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure Data Scientist Associate, AWS Certified Data Scientist)
