JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process in conjunction with the sales team, from intent to bid to final shipment, for Kroger Health proposals. Support the continuity, completeness and presentation/packaging of technical responses. Monitor open RFPs, analyze their financial impact and determine the most appropriate/effective responses for both the client and Kroger Health. Maintain the Kroger Health brand in all outward communication pieces. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the RFP and contract completion process
- Participate in proposal development team planning and execution, reviewing RFP requirements, conducting analysis on RFP and assessing strategy for responding to requirements

- Collaborate with the leadership team to support KPP contracting team by developing a winning bid strategy, including prospective client business proforma
- Direct all proposal and Q&A responses, ensuring written responses are thorough and comply with technical guidelines/specifications
- Create and maintain a library of comprehensive standard responses that comply with RFP request guidelines and reflect the input of applicable subject matter experts
- Identify and coordinate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure smooth flow of information, activities, and end-to-end results
- Assist in all aspects of proposal development, including developing process improvements
- Maintain organized files and drafts of work in operationally designated locations
- Review competitor responses and improve processes for responding
- Support management to proactively identify gaps in contract pricing, performance guarantees and future business staffing
- Work with internal/external clients and subject matter experts
- Develop/implement reporting procedures to quantify/analyze the timeliness and success of output
- Support and drive continuous process improvement
- Travel to foster successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain flexibility to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines and manage RFP/RFI process
- Assist with special projects as directed by leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree English and/or marketing
- 1 year of proposal writing experience with complex bid responses
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Excellent planning, organizational, and follow-up skills with close attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work productively and proactively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and develop viable solutions
- Team player with a strong ability to work with other disciplines across companies
- Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively manage workload to meet deadlines
Desired
- Any experience in pharmacy benefit management or retail pharmacy management
- Any managed care experience
- Any marketing/RFP writing experience
