KPMG is currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Transfer Pricing practice.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver transfer pricing and related tax services including end-to-end supply chain and value chain analyses and restructuring, intellectual property valuation, audit defense, Advance Pricing Agreements, global tax planning, US and global transfer pricing compliance, and operational transfer pricing
  • Perform detailed analysis of our clients supply chains, functional and risk profile of affiliate companies to develop deep understanding of business model and value chain; perform financial and economic analyses, including benchmarking analyses, valuation models, taxation models for purpose of supporting tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution
  • Deploy commonly used technologies Excel, Alteryx, various statistical sampling packages, as well as KPMGs proprietary transfer pricing platform
  • Cooperate with the firm's international tax, M&A as well as other tax and advisory practices in end-to-end delivery of cross-disciplinary projects
  • Coordinate global projects with KPMGs member firms worldwide
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, supervise, and mentor staff members and provide technical guidance and training to team members
Additional responsibilities for Senior Manager:
  • Participate in business development for transfer pricing and related service by teaming with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience with transfer pricing and related projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics from an accredited college/university
  • Progress toward the coursework and testing requirements for an approved advanced degree or an approved professional designation as listed below must be demonstrated; progress is defined as being registered for and attending classes that count towards an advanced degree; alternatively, successful completion of at least one examination for a professional designation is required; advanced degrees: PHD in Philosophy, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or Engineering; or Masters in: Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Economics, International Economics, Finance, Law and Diplomacy, Real Estate, Political Science, Taxation, International Affairs (from U.S. university), Public Policy, Information and Data Science, or Accounting; or JD; professional designations: CPA, REAL, ABV, CFA, MAI, CMA or Transfer Pricing Certificate from CIOT; in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: transfer pricing studies, financial statement analysis, quantitative and competitive analysis, statistical sampling and econometrics, advanced financial modeling skills using Excel and/or Alteryx, plan evaluation and/or operational performance analysis
  • Knowledge of the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and thorough understanding of the U.S. Transfer Pricing Regulations, OECD Guidelines, and general international transfer pricing environment
  • Ability to work with advanced cloud-based tax technology solutions, including KPMGs transfer pricing platform
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical and research skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment
Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:
  • Minimum eight years of recent experience with transfer pricing and related projects
  • Completion of an advanced degree or professional designation as listed

California Salary Range: $88400 - $198200
