JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives development, testing, deployments, and iterative improvement of product capabilities and features in collaboration with peers across Design, Product Management, and Engineering
- Leverages critical thinking, experimentation, data, and industry best practices to implement desired business outcomes
- Develops high quality applications that are secure, easy to operate, difficult to break, and extremely observable with measurable results.
- Responsible for all technical aspects of the product application lifecycle including, code, infrastructure, data, security, and CICD
- Establishes product engineering and software standards
- Sets vision and drives cultural transformation within the team and across the organization
- Leads technical initiatives across the organization
- Utilizes technical background to coach others through empathy and hands-on mentoring
- Manages multiple groups of engineers while embedded on a team as an individual contributor
- Effectively balances time between individual contribution and management
- Acquires, retains, and develops top and diverse talent

PREFERRED
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- 4+ years of progressive management experience, developing and attracting multiple diverse teams
- Expert ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Successful transformation of technical leadership into people leadership
- Expert knowledge of application design patterns, event-driven architecture,
- database schemas, and testing strategies
- Proven experience with large scale application troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Proven experience working with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Expert knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test driven development
