Photo & Motion Stylist - Milwaukee Photo Studio

Milwaukee, WI

Responsible for styling and propping merchandise to enhance product and create compelling visual images. Provides technical and aesthetic styling of merchandise during photo shoots.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

COORDINATE AND EXECUTE THE END TO END STYLING PROCESS

  • Organizes all samples upon receipt at studio, according to daily shooting schedule
  • Manage all studio and location set styling to ensure successful results.
  • Partners with production to provide guidance with shot cadence for daily on set efficiencies
  • Maintains continuous ongoing knowledge of industry retail trends
  • Sustains prop room to keep current and updates regularly with seasonal samples

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
  • Close communication with Studio Partners and/ or merchants to forecast/resolve sample issues.
  • Attends key seasonal strategic trend and campaign meetings.
  • Continued collaboration with our Studio partners to increase transparency and work towards common goals.
  • Active participant in regular cross-functional meetings to ensure cohesive direction within the studio.


STYLING BEST PRACTICES
  • Produce timely cost effective photography that meets the expectation of the customer.
  • Understand our current customers' buying habits to retain her while attracting new customers.
  • Continue offering elevated styling solutions within our on fig, mannequin and laydown photography.
  • Create imagery to influence buying decisions in each of our marketing segmentations.
  • Identify ways within our styling to speak to different cultures and ethnicities by making small changes or nuances.
  • Maintain expected shot count per project.
  • Accessorizes all merchandise for photo shoots, maintaining clear specific guidelines for brand differentiation
  • Provides all styling needs on set, including adjusting merchandise for proper representation
  • Ideate opportunities to highlight your skill set with Videos educating the customer on styling solutions.
  • Support training efforts for store visual merchandising teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED
  • 2-3 years of on set styling experience or in a related field
  • Bachelor's Degree in associated field or experience with photo styling in a studio or comparable environment
  • Portfolio, showing styling required
  • Computer proficient on Macintosh workstations.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong sense of color and style
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain strict deadlines
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and maintain continuous flexibility
  • Collaborate with multiple creative partners on a daily basis

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift 10 - 25lbs
  • Some travel may be required with location photography
