The Hive, Humana's in-house agency is seeking a Creative Development Professional, Designer 2 to join their team! We are a creative collective built exclusively to support the business and the brand. Our sole purpose is to create meaning, influence choice, and motivate change through brand expression.

As the Creative Development Professional, Designer 2, you will design brand identity systems and creative content for integrated marketing campaigns across all media. You will develop a range of stylistic and technical solutions against a creative brief, drive creative quality at all stages of the development process, and ensure creative campaign continuity for a line of business.

Key Role Functions

  • Collaborate with creative team and business partners to develop creative content for integrated marketing campaigns, across all media
  • Translate creative strategy into a range of stylistic and technical solutions that express the brand and fulfill the business objectives defined in the creative brief
  • Produce creative concepts, presentations, brand identity systems, design solutions, and final art files with minimal supervision
  • Ensure brand consistency, campaign continuity, and creative quality for a line of business
  • Prepare final press-ready files
  • Attentive to industry trends, provides recommendations for tools, process, and best practices
  • Demonstrates knowledge of motion design - using 2D and 3D animation to bring static images to life

To be successful in this role, you are a curious, conceptual thinker with a critical eye and attentive to details. Your portfolio demonstrates your ability to translate business and brand objectives into compelling, effective solutions, and the application of your design and production mastery to a wide variety of print, digital, and environmental assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a creative field or equivalent related experience
  • An industry competitive portfolio (Portfolio samples must be submitted with application to be considered. Include a maximum of 5 work samples which best demonstrate your skills)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a professional designer in an agency or in-house environment
  • Mastery of design fundamentals, advanced aesthetic and conceptual skills
  • Experience with digital prototyping in Figma.
  • Proven ability to contribute to all stages of the creative development process from concept, design and final production.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to deliver and apply constructive creative feedback.
  • Acute attention to details, process, budgets, and on-time delivery of projects
  • Proficiency with industry standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Figma and Microsoft software
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe CS and Microsoft Office software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diverse portfolio which demonstrates skills developing brand identity systems and creative content for diverse media including, print, web, social and environmental applications
  • Strong motion graphics portfolio
  • Experience producing animated stories from concept to completion including motion, visual effects, asset creation, compositing, editing and rendering
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proficiency with pre-press fundamentals
  • After Effects and Video editing experience a plus
  • Prepare final video renders in specified formats
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies

Additional Information

  • Agency located in Louisville, KY, but qualified applicants will be considered for remote work
  • Occasional travel may be required to collaborate with agency team

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$57,700 - $79,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
