The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the short-term strategic direction of the product portfolio including new product development to drive vitality and growth. This role will identify and prioritize needs, develop the product roadmap, and drive new product development efforts. This involves making decisions on what products to create, managing manufacturing efficiencies leveraging platforms, and overseeing and a holistic product portfolio management strategy.  Collaboration between cross-functional team members including sourcing, supply chain, engineering, channel, sales, and industrial design will be vital in the success of this role.  This high impact role is accountable for the financial performance of the assigned category.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Own P&L monthly including Risks & Opportunities for sub-category
  • Develop & own the 2-to-5-year product and innovation roadmaps
  • Gather customer insights and conduct competitive benchmarking to drive innovation pipeline
  • Manage a portfolio of new product development projects and foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and accountability within the team 
  • Lead commercialization efforts to drive new product sales and profits in the category(s) of responsibility.
  • Work collaboratively with GPI/NPI to ensure all new product development is meeting all the required targets and is being delivered on time.
  • Provide the inputs for the financial & S&OP forecast and is the primary POC in the weekly S&OE meeting for sub-category
  • Develop comprehensive pricing & promotional plan for sub-category and own short-term and permanent price changes
  • Product assortment: select and curate a range of products that align with channel needs and market trends. 
  • Collaborate with brand & channel marketing to develop appropriate programs and promotions to deliver quarterly and annual results.
  • Lead editorial visits/interviews, trade shows and industry events to promote the category


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.  MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years product marketing experience with strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Hands-on, detail oriented, energetic and results-driven
  • Experience with Ecommerce focused product development and/or marketing
  • Experience with Retail Channel

Travel

  • Approximately 25%
