Position Overview
The Outbound Fulfillment Lead is a vital part of the Distribution Center. Reporting to the Outbound Fulfillment Manager, the Outbound Fulfillment Lead is responsible for providing strategic operational leadership with outstanding customer service for a high volume, order fulfillment environment while managing the execution of production requests. This position will work closely with other cross functional partners within the organization.
Key Accountabilities:
Leadership
- Creates and maintains a positive environment and encourages growth and development
- Schedules and allocates warehouse personnel based on daily needs
- Communicates daily expectations to the Outbound Floor Assistant and follows up to ensure completion
- Enforces company and departmental policies and verifies consistent application
- Manages all aspects of employee performance, including establishment of objectives, performance reviews, professional development, and progressive disciplinary process as needed
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees within and outside the organization
Process Management
- Sets weekly and daily outbound order goals and communicates to the Floor Assistant
- Maintains outbound order fulfillment timelines and monitors daily replenishments
- Stays up to date with changes in packaging requirements to guarantee service satisfaction
- Enforces safety practices and exhibits safe behaviors
- Functions in a fast-paced environment where priorities change on a regular basis
- Meets standardized shipping service level agreement (SLA)
- Meets picking accuracy goal of 99%
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to collaborate and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to coach employees with a tactful and motivating approach
- Recommend process improvements on existing process(es) and provide potential solutions
- Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish a shared goal; encourages teamwork among associates
- Proficiency in relevant computer systems (SAP, Microsoft- Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient written, verbal and professional communications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in the distribution, retail, or service industries or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office in particular)
- Knowledge of ERP, WMS, and other CRM tools
- Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively
- Strong communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Performance analysis and problem solving capabilities
- Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; stand/walk for duration of shift
- HE certification or ability to be licensed
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
