Join our team as the Vice President of Trading Settlements, where your leadership and strategic vision will drive the seamless execution and optimization of our settlement operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in our trading processes.

As a Trading Settlements Vice President within the Asset and Wealth Management Line of Business, you will lead and manage the settlement operations for our trading activities, ensuring seamless and accurate processing of all transactions. Your role will encompass overseeing the development and implementation of efficient settlement processes, conducting thorough reconciliation checks, and establishing robust control frameworks to mitigate risk. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve settlement discrepancies, enhance operational workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your strategic vision and leadership will be crucial in optimizing our settlement functions and supporting the overall success of our trading operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading the timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Trading Systems, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
  • Overseeing intraday and end-of-day processes, including completeness and reconciliation checks, to ensure accurate processing of new trading activity and effective book management.
  • Fostering a collaborative 'one team approach' by working closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups.
  • Ensuring all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed off in a timely manner, maintaining the highest standards of governance.
  • Facilitating clear and concise communication with all support teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of queries.
  • Leading and contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at improving and evolving processes and business architecture.
  • Building an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both financial and operational perspectives to enhance governance.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of settlements of Cash Products: Fixed Income and Equities.
  • A solid understanding in one or more of the following areas: asset servicing, derivatives, mutual funds, and capital markets, along with familiarity with the front-to-back Operations process, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting, with the ability to facilitate issue resolution across teams.
  • Strong understanding of key elements of other infrastructure groups (Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Legal, Collateral) and the impact of Trade Support team actions on these areas.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively, explain complex concepts, challenge processes as appropriate, and thrive in a pressurized and changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional problem-solving, control, and project management capabilities.
  • Advanced technical skills, particularly in Excel (i.e., VBA).

  • Shift Schedule: 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM PHT
