As a Vice President of Capital and Expense within the Securities Services Operations, you will be tasked with the oversight and optimization of the CAPEX process. Your role will demand strategic thinking and strong leadership skills to promote performance, manage risks, and spearhead process improvements. Collaborating closely with various internal teams and external partners, your goal will be to ensure operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and feedback to mentor managers and team members for performance improvement.
- Conduct annual performance reviews to align team members with organizational goals.
- Handle and resolve escalations from external and internal parties effectively.
- Perform transaction reviews focusing on high-value transactions.
- Serve as the point of escalation, liaising with internal teams to resolve issues.
- Demonstrate strong risk management by managing issues above materiality thresholds.
- Review and implement control changes for risk mitigation.
- Escalate issues to senior management for timely resolution.
- Attend internal meetings to ensure partner needs are met and follow-up items resolved.
- Participate in client calls to understand and implement requirements accurately.
- Lead process improvement and automation projects for efficiency enhancement.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Subject matter expertise in Fund Accounting or robust financial markets product knowledge along with experience in managing CAPEX or teams with similar functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the initiative to drive change and enhance controls.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate strategic messages clearly and consistently.
- Strong relationship management and partnership skills, with the ability to manage by influence to promote change.
- Project management and process improvement experience.
- Leadership with proven ability to manage by influence to promote change.
- Proactive in identifying and escalating issues.
