DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Assist traders with price verification and booking over-the-counter derivatives, listed futures and options, and securities. Monitor and action lifecycle events including expiration and corporate actions. Responsible for queries from functional support teams to resolve reconciliation mismatches including Nostros, deal review queries, and internal and trade position breaks. Generate and reconcile daily profit and loss reports, post necessary adjustments, assist traders in investigating issues, and perform root cause analyses. Liaise with the Front Office and technology to address issues that arise during trading hours. Ensure accuracy of the trader's risk systems by monitoring controls related to pricing, positions, market data, and risk instrument reference data. Provide monthly operations reporting to parties include trading desk heads, valuation groups, and product control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Financial Risk Management, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as Trading Services, Financial Analyst, Operations Services, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Financial Risk Management, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Trading Services, Financial Analyst, Operations Services, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Over-the-counter vanilla and Bermudan calls and puts options; dividend protected options; convertible bonds; listed options on indices and stocks; Index futures; currency spots and forwards trades; equity and index over the counter forwards; prepaid variable forwards multiple dates (tranched) structures; collared accelerated share repurchase contracts; flexible payment structures including reverse convertibles and worst of basket; securitized equity linked notes; barrier and rainbow options; variance, volatility, equity, and interest rate swaps; Excel functions including matching, lookup and calculating financial numbers like logarithmic returns, annualized variance, covariance and correlation calculations; troubleshooting discrepancies with trade economics between risk capture systems and firm and client agreed terms; evaluating and identifying the impact of corporate actions on equity derivatives throughout the entire trade support life cycle, including stock splits and special dividends; assisting sales and trading with derivative trades, migrating positions across books, and book maintenance; escalating systemic issues on risk capture systems on expirations, coupons processing, exercising of listed options process, barrier breaches processes and corporate action processes; supporting sales through managing client queries on expiration of derivatives trades, corporate action treatments, coupons confirmation, and novations of derivatives positions; collaborating with settlements on nostro account breaks; resolving discrepancies with external and internal counterparties; assisting corporate clients on syndicated deals settlements; securing client account entitlements in risk capture systems; resolving settlement breaks and trade economics breaks; working with compliance and legal teams on queries and economic trade data requested by regulatory authorities such as FINRA; working with the following functional groups related to the equity derivatives trade lifecycle: Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational Risk, Legal, and Collateral.

Full-Time. Salary: $112,000 - $131,000 per year.
