As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Community and Consumer Banking, you serve in a leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for multiple technical teams, as well as anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm. As an expert in your field, your insights influence budget and technical considerations to advance operational efficiencies and functionalities.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement GenAI and Agentic AI solutions using Python to enhance automation and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into existing systems, leveraging Python for robust solutions
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets using Python to support AI-driven insights and recommendations.
- Mentor and guide team members in the application of GenAI and Agentic AI technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
- Be accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders
- Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary
- Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
- Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience . In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Over 10 years of experience in designing and building large-scale enterprise software solutions, with a proven track record of leading projects in both public and private cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to architect solutions that meet complex business requirements and scale efficiently.
- Advanced skills in critical analysis and architectural design, with a focus on microservice architectures.
- Experience in creating highly decoupled systems that promote flexibility, scalability, and resilience.
- Ability to evaluate and implement architectural patterns that optimize performance and maintainability.
- Mastery of Java and SpringBoot for backend development, with a deep understanding of best practices in object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Expertise in front-end development using ReactJS, with a focus on building responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing technical talent
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- In-depth knowledge of the services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
- Experience working at code level
