Join our team as a Retirement Administration Expert Collaborating closely with plan administrators and adhering to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) Missing Participants Program, the researcher utilizes a range of investigative tools and techniques to effectively manage benefits.
As a Retirement Administration Senior Professional Analyst within our team, you will be tasked with assisting the Pension Team, primarily concentrating on researching, reviewing, and validating HR and Benefits data. Key duties involve conducting research, analyzing information, and updating records to find participants and beneficiaries who are unresponsive or difficult to trace.
Job responsibilities
- Review plan and employer records for participant information
- Utilize online search engines, public records, and social media platforms
- Employ commercial locator services when necessary
- Monitor obituaries and other public notices
- Document all search efforts, findings, and communications in a clear and organized manner
- Reach out via mail, email, phone, or social media to inform participants of their benefits and guide them through the claiming process
- Work with plan sponsors, trustees, and third-party administrators to facilitate benefit distribution
- Adhere to PBGC, Department of Labor (DOL), and IRS regulations regarding missing participants and benefit disbursement
- Keep up-to-date with evolving best practices, tools, and regulatory guidance related to locating missing participants

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong research and analytical skills with a knack for uncovering hard-to-find information
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining meticulous records
- Comfortable using databases, search engines, and digital communication tools
- Familiarity with pension plan structures, terminology, and regulatory requirements
- Determined and methodical approach to solving complex search challenges
- High level of accuracy in documentation and compliance adherence
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in benefits administration, HR, or investigative research
- Knowledge of PBGC's Missing Participants Program
- Background in compliance, legal, or financial services
