OTC Derivatives -Trade Lifecycle Analyst

OTC Derivatives Operations Analyst ensures accurate settlement and reconciliation while managing discrepancies and ensuring compliance.

  • Full operational support to OTC Derivatives traded globally.
  • Exposure to high daily volumes and large amounts.
  • Ensure timelines and service delivery standards are continually achieved.
  • Risk mitigation and escalation of issues in a timely manner.
  • Comply with policies, procedures and controls at all times for the safety of company and clients.
  • Partnerships with multiple groups within the company such as technology, finance and other operation teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and value-added initiatives.

  • Confirmation with clients of amounts to be settled in relation of coupons payments for Interest, Credit or Equity derivative trades;
  • Pre-settlement investigations of discrepancies between client's and JPM calculations. Analysis of trade documentation to identify differences and follow up for resolution.
  • Management of client's settlement instructions
  • Post-settlement investigations of differences. Follow up with internal and external clients to close open breaks.
  • Creation of daily/weekly metrics report for outstanding open breaks.
  • Proactive ownership of problem solving for clients - own end-to-end issue resolution. Ensure timelines and client service delivery standards are continually achieved.
  • Creation of your own relationship with the different teams that you interact with (Counterparties / Front Office / Middle Office ), partner with them on a day-to-day basis to perform more efficiently.
  • Escalating issues in a timely manner. Build a culture of transparency and open, honest & clear communication.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree (or in the last year of study) from leading academic institution.
  • Fluent in English: Yes
  • Knowledge of MS Office package: Yes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail.
